It took me a minute to figure out what kind of movie I was watching. This was beautiful.

Not sure if its just me but Diana Nyad comes across as a very unlikable person. Annette Bening is amazing in this by making us dislike her and happy to see her succeed in the end.

I liked so much about this movie but not the story. It's a shame Penelope Cruz wasn't nominated for an Oscar for this role as she was the best part of it.

I didn't put it together but what a great second film by Emerald Fennell. What an ending!

Friendship is funny. It’s so vital to us. But it can be brittle. Fragile.

Moving around a lot I got used to having temporary friends. I've lost touch with a lot of people and have tried to reconnect to little success. There's nobody to blame, we're all different now.

I like the metaphor of friendship as a garden because it feels very true. I like gardens. I like to see stuff grow and enjoy things when they're ready. But I'm bad at gardening. I hope I can be better.
