F: I liked the funny guy O: I liked Margie

O: My favorite was after the One Year Later part F: I like the cat

I have not been to a movie theater this full or this interactive in a long time. I don't know if its fans of Nathan Fielder, Elizabeth Holmes, documentaries, or all of the above but it was a truly wonderful movie going experience. They say insert blockbuster here saved movie theaters, but this might actually have been it. The film was also great. fyi you can totally see everything...

I don’t want to be the richest man on Earth.

Wasn't really sold since the whole plot felt quite messy. They wrapped it up well enough for me.

While I thought this was ok, it's so loosely based on Anthony Bourdain's life that I think it would have been better served not as a biopic.

Who knew I have just been trying to imitate Harpo my whole life?

Maybe I'm missing some context but this was just very sad to me

I wasn't ready for this

I put off watching this for long enough

I really wanted to like this more but it felt very repetitive at some points. It's not helped by the fact that the ending turns out to be very underwhelming through no fault of the people involved.

DSM should've won! You think you're a better lyricist than Sir Mix-a-lot. A man who was knighted by Queen.

This is the first time I've rewatched this since getting into Dropout series. So of course I jumped out of my seat when I saw Jacob Wysocki!

This was so long ago

To me this felt like they thought of the last 30 mins of the movie and came up with some plot to fill the first two hours. I think the last 30 mins were very impressive, specially Courtney Grace's performance. Its such a small part but it felt so real. The last line in the film felt very underwhelming. While I get that themes of the movie this felt like an oversimplified way to get the message out, specially nowadays.

Thinking about the amount of caramel because of the inflation since this released

How can Zuckemborg let this happen?

Didnt know what to expect but it wasnt this. If I hadnt seen Kevin can F**k Himself I might have had a different opinion

Equally funny and heartbreaking.

O: I liked Baloo and when King Louie's castle broke

I really thought we were going to get a rickshaw "Akira slide"

I think knowing a little about the actual lore would've helped me get more into it.

I just want to see a full length movie that is animated in the style of that one character's intro.

While I enjoyed the production itself, the way that its filmed made it a little rough to watch. By the second act it got a little better.

I went in with high expectations after Superman (2025). It was good we got to see some of Kara's backstory to see how different she is from Clark but it sort of made the story drag a bit for me.

They should have saved this title for the last movie in the series.

O: Let's watch it again

O: "They won the Piston Cup!"

...Apart from the summer of 1979 when I wanted to be Kermit the Frog

I dropped it half a star for throwing the Batman album

BB-8: 👍

Even though I have enjoyed all the films in this series, I somehow always go in with very low expectations and leave very entertained. I cant wait for when they eventually do a spin off of Varang and the Mangkwan.

I watched this after finishing Dispatches from Elsewhere and it just didn't feel right.

I don't like it, I don't agree with it, but I accept it.

Grogu: "Now THIS is podracing"

This was fine? Some subplots felt unnecessary which brought the overall plot to a halt and made this feel a lot longer than it actually was.

O: "but why didn't they catch him the first time?"

I laughed

O: "I loved all of it"

Well, Terry, it sure as shit ain't sad.

Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face, stars fill my dreams.

I originally watched this for April's IndieWeb Movie Club but didn't get around to posting about it. I also read Story of your Life which this film is based on since I hadn't done that before.

👎

Spoilers: I really liked the ending reveal with the Andromedans, both the concept and the look of it. But I've been having a hard time with the ending of this film because it feels like it validates conspiracy theorists to go through with some pretty awful behavior.

Absolutely crushed by this film. Jessie Buckley is amazing in everything but this might be my favorite performance by her. The scene where they are practicing the play is so powerful and you can hear the pain behind Paul Mescal's "Again". Go thy ways to a nunnery. Again.

I can appreciate what this is but Renate Reinsve's performance is the only thing that stuck with me.

For such a massive ensemble cast, every single performance was very memorable. I was initially thrown off by the needle drops more so because they felt out of time but they actually really work. I bounced around with the rating for this mostly because I was left a little conflicted by the ending. I think its purposely ambiguous to make us think about whether Marty has actually grown as a person. Specially if I may not necessarily feel like he deserves to win (both in the game and life) based on everything we saw the prior two hours. Probably my favorite vampire film of the year, so far.

O: "this movie is scary" Haven't seen this in a while but randomly started singing a bunch of the songs to my kids the other day so we decided to watch it today. I will never understand why "Something So Right" did not get nominated for any awards. Good night Danny Trejo

A story of life and the people we meet and lose along the way. Devastating at times but it left me with a hopeful message. Beautiful, ain’t it? All of it. Every bit of it.

This movie might be good but I was expecting a heist movie and that is my fault.

Crucé sin pensarlo

I need a 3 hour spin-off about Benicio del Toro's character. No fear. Just like Tom fuckin' Cruise.

Why is this a comedy?

While I wanted this to be a closer adaptation to the book, the things that it changed really worked for me. However, one scene in particular with some wolves felt off to me in contrast to the rest of the way the creature is portrayed. Just generally I had a harder time with the scale of the violence. A+ ending though.

At first I thought the animated sequences were a bit too much but the further it got, the more effective they became.

That scene with Andrew Scott...

O: "My favorite part was the construction."

I keep jumping back and forth on my rating and thoughts. I'm fascinated that they were able to do as much as they did with the estimated budget of $15,000 USD. Even though I wasn't always a fan of the main subjects of the documentary, I appreciate their commitment. I still recommend watching this if you are not interested in birdwatching. Watch it on YouTube

I regret waiting 30 years to watch this. What do you say I buy you a cup of coffee?
